London Midland is offering return fares to the capital for as little as £5 for over-55s during September and October.
Special deals have been launched along the West Coast Mainline at stations including Milton Keynes, Northampton, Leighton Buzzard and Watford Junction until October 23.
Over-55s can take advantage of the deals travelling at any time on weekends.
Travel on weekdays is after 10am and there are restrictions on return travel during the evening peak.
