We are disappointed that some Senior Conductor members of the RMT have decided to vote in favour of strike action.
London Midland remains open to discussions and met with RMT officials last week in order to try and reach an agreement.
It is particularly disappointing that passengers are now facing disruption due to strike action by the RMT because of agreements they made which date back over eight years and which the RMT is choosing to make an issue of now.
We have not yet been advised by the union what form the strike action will take, but we will work hard to ensure we are able to provide services to passengers wherever possible.
