If you are heading into the Capital to join in the celebrations between 2-5 June 2012, please allow yourself plenty of time to get to final destination, as our trains – and the whole of central London – are expected to be extremely busy.
Planning your day
There are several websites that can help you make the most of your day:
Official Diamond Jubilee website
Getting around
Please be aware that certain areas will be closed off when they are deemed to be full – much the same as on New Year's Eve. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get back for your train, as you may have to find an alternative route back to the station.
Full details of what's happening on the buses and tubes – including live information throughout the weekend – will be available on the Transport for London website.
Getting into London
Trains are expected to be very busy, so we are adding carriages to many services to help meet the extra demand. However, please note that due to engineering works, there will be a rail replacement bus service between Northampton and Rugby / Milton Keynes on Sunday and Monday. We will still be running direct trains between Birmingham/Crewe and London (avoiding Northampton).
On Tuesday 5 June a Saturday-based timetable will be running on all routes to/from London.
To plan your journey, simply visit the National Rail Enquiries website.
Save time, buy online
Avoid queuing for your tickets at the station by booking them online. You can collect them from the self-service ticket machine at the station on your way to the train.

Keep up to date
You can check how trains are running by downloading our free iPhone App, checking live departure screens for your local station, or by following us on Twitter.
We hope you have a great time!
