Fortnightly face to face meetings with commuters for London Midland managers
Senior Managers at London Midland, one of the country's newest operator, will be taking to rush hour platforms to meet commuters every two weeks.
The company has announced its schedule of ‘meet the manager' opportunities, following up successful events at Snow Hill Station, Birmingham, and Euston Station, London soon after it took over the franchise in November 2007.
Managing director Steve Banaghan was accompanied by members of his senior team, and listened to passengers' views on a wide range of issues and concerns.
Passengers had positive comments about their hopes for the new rail franchise, which includes the new fleet of trains London Midland will be introducing within the next two years.
Steve Banaghan said: "As one of the UK's newest rail operators, good customer service is a key priority and it is crucial that we listen to commuters regularly to hear their views.
"The first two sessions went really well, and were a great opportunity for people who travel with us to meet the people behind the services. There's no better way to understand passengers' needs than meeting them face to face."
London Midland provides express services to London and Liverpool from the Midlands and also local and regional services across the West Midlands and Home Counties, combining the former Silverlink County business and much of the former Central Trains' franchise
The company will be investing £300 million in new rolling stock, station improvements and other initiatives to deliver a modern, 21st century rail service.
