London Midland is one of the first train operating companies in the country with a commitment to introduce smartcard ticketing.
The key will enable our customers to:
- purchase online and collect at stations in a one-touch transaction
- purchase ticket products at self-service machines quicker and much more easily than today
- enjoy added security, as tickets can quickly canceled if lost or stolen
- save time at the station, going automatically through ticket gates
- load multiple tickets on one card
- in future, benefit from new products and integrated transport opportunities
From early 2012, customers will be able to load Snow Hill line season tickets onto the key. These will include stations between Worcester, Stourbridge and Birmingham. Stations between Birmingham, Dorridge and Stratford-Upon-Avon will be rolled out over the next few months and will be extended to other London Midland stations by 2013.
