Season tickets

TicketsTravelling to work?  Want to beat the queues? Then why not consider a season ticket?

Season tickets can offer great discounts for regular travellers, and are available for all short and medium distance journeys on the London Midland network. They are generally not available for longer journeys although there are exceptions, so please check at your local staffed station or contact our customer relations team for further details.

Please note that you need a photocard for all season tickets. Just bring a passport-size photograph with you to the ticket office and we'll issue you with your photocard. 

Buy your season tickets online

You can also buy your season ticket online and have it sent direct to your home or office. If your ticket costs £100 or more, you can have it delivered by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery free of charge, Please note that season tickets purchased online cannot be picked up from the ticket office or self service ticket machines.

7 day season tickets

With a London Midland weekly season ticket you can travel for seven consecutive days with no restrictions and on just one ticket. It can also save you money compared to daily tickets.

Example saving: Northampton to London Euston, Anytime Day Return £51.70 and a weekly season ticket is £118.90. Based on a five-day working week, this can save you almost £140 per week.

Monthly season tickets

London Midland monthly season ticket are valid for a full calendar month, starting on any day in the month and cheaper than buying four weekly tickets.

Example saving: Northampton to London Euston (inclusive of all Travelcard zones) A weekly season ticket is £140.70 and a monthly season ticket is £540.30. Based on a four-week month, this can save you £22.50 per month.

Monthly plus – create your own season ticket

You can get season tickets for any duration between one month and one year.

Annual "Gold Card" season ticket

With an Annual “Gold card” season ticket the price is based on 40 weekly season tickets, which gives you an amazing 12 weeks of free travel!

Example saving: Northampton to London Euston (inclusive of all Travelcard zones), 12 monthly season tickets will cost £6483.60, however an annual is priced at £5628, saving you over £850 a year.

Additional benefits for annual season ticket holders on routes between Long Buckby and London Euston, the Marston Vale and the Abbey Line include:

  • 1/3 off many leisure tickets across the Network Railcard area, for you and up to 3 adults at the same discounted fare, up to 4 children (aged 5-15 years inclusive) pay a flat fee of £2.
  • an annual Network Railcard for a friend or family member for just £1 when you present your annual season ticket at the booking office.

Season Ticket prices

The price of a season ticket is determined by the period of validity, irrespective of whether a service is advertised or provided on all days during the period of validity.

All season ticket prices are based on the 7-day rate for that particular journey. All prices include a discount against buying Anytime Single or Return tickets, even for a five-day working week.  For example:

Worcester Shrub Hill - Birmingham New Street
Anytime Day Return £9.80
5 x Anytime Day Returns based on 5 day working week         £49.00
Equivalent 7 day season £29.90
Saving (39%) £19.10

Direct Debit

If you regularly travel by train from selected stations and anywhere within the Network West Midlands area, you can now save time and money by paying for your season ticket by monthly Direct Debit. Paying by cheque

Since 1st July 2011 we havel only accepted cheques as a method of payment for the renewal of annual season tickets. Passengers who wish to pay with a cheque may do so subject to the following conditions:

- Cheques must be made payable to our trading name of 'London Midland'.
- If a company cheque is tendered for payment, then it must be accompanied by a letter of authorisation from the organisation concerned on the company's letter headed paper.
- Any refund application for a ticket purchased by cheque will be held for 15 working days from the date of issue, to enable the clearance to be confirmed.
