Cycling is great for the environment and keeps you healthy too. Why not cycle to your local station and continue your onward journey on a London Midland train?
You can leave your cycle at many local stations. We're investing in secure cycle storage facilities at stations across our network and are anticipating to increase the number of storage spaces at 47 of our stations.
We welcome bicycles on board all our off-peak services free of charge and many of our newer trains have dedicated spaces within them specifically for cycles. We allow a maximum of two bikes for each train because of Health and Safety regulations. However, if the train is quiet the Senior Conductor can allow more bikes on at his or her discretion.
Cycle reservations are possible on certain services on our Birmingham-Liverpool, Crewe-London and Birmingham-London routes and we recommend you make a reservation for your bike, where possible, to avoid disappointment. You can do this at any staffed station. You will need to reserve your bike space at least 24 hours before your journey to guarantee a space.
Due to capacity constraints, full-size cycles cannot be taken on board certain peak time services. We can't take full size cycles on any train arriving in London Euston between 07.00 and 09.59, or departing from London Euston between 16.00 and 18.59 on Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays). Folding cycles can be carried without charge on any service at any time.
To help you plan train travel with a bike, check details of our quieter trains from our busiest stations (subject to the above restrictions).
