Due to redevelopment, work is being carried out in the Queens Drive area which will be closed to pedestrians from 01 August 2011.
Alternative pedestrian routes via Smallbrook Queensway and Dudley Street will be signposted.
Reduced traffic access and short stay parking at Birmingham New Street station
Rail customers should allow a little more time to catch their trains if they are being dropped off at Birmingham New Street station from Sunday 4 December because of changes to traffic arrangements on the main approach road.
Network Rail needs to close one of the two lanes on the approach road as work starts on the creation of a new public square as part of the Gateway redevelopment of the station.
The number of short stay car parking spaces at the front of the station will also significantly reduce at this time, although there will be no change to taxi services.
