This page contains details of planned changes to our timetables over the next few weeks due to engineering works as well as amends due to Bank Holidays or special events (football matches, concerts, exhibitions, festivals, Wembley events). Monday 18 - Thursday 21 August

Birmingham-Hereford line - Due to the cancellation of planned engineering work the following service alterations will apply :

  • The 21.45 Birmingham New Street to Worcester Shrub Hill train service is retimed to depart from Birmingham New Street at 22.00 and will call additionally at University (at 22.06) and Bromsgrove (at 22.20).
  • The 23.15 Birmingham New Street to Worcester Shrub Hill train service is retimed to depart from Birmingham New Street at 23.25 and will call additionally at University (at 23.31) and Bromsgrove (at 23.47).
  • The 21.29 Hereford to Birmingham New Street train service will call additionally at Bromsgrove (at 22.29) and University (at 22.44).

Previously published rail replacement buses planned to operate between Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove will not run.

Monday 18 - Friday 22 August

Abbey Line - Due to planned engineering work train services between Watford Junction and St.Albans Abbey will not run. Rail replacement buses will operate to the following timetable available here.

Northampton-Euston line: Due to planned engineering work the following alterations to services between London Euston and Northampton / Birmingham New Street will apply :

  • The 20.34 London Euston to Tring service will not run. Passengers are advised to travel on the 20.24 London Euston to Milton Keynes Central train - calling at Watford Junction at 20.43, Hemel Hempstead at 20.51, Berkhamsted at 20.57, arriving at Tring at 21.02, OR the 21.05 London Euston to Bletchley train - calling at Harrow & Wealdstone at 21.18, Bushey at 21.23, Watford Junction at 21.26, Kings Langley at 21.31, Apsley at 21.35, Hemel Hempstead at 21.37, Berkhamsted at 21.42, arriving at Tring at 21.47.
  • After 21.50 train services from London Euston to Northampton will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central only - to a special timetable at reduced frequency. Full details here.
  • Rail replacement buses will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton.
  • After 22.15 Northbound trains will call at Bushey to set down only.

Friday 22 August

Due to planned engineering work the 23.04 London Euston to Northampton service will call at Bushey to set down only.

Abbey line - Due to planned engineering work buses replace trains between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey. Full details here.

Birmingham-Liverpool - The following alterations to services between Birmingham New Street and Crewe / Liverpool Lime Street will apply :

  • The 19.01 Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street train will terminate at Crewe (at 19.56). Passengers are advised to travel on the 21.06 Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street train service - calling at Winsford at 21.15, Hartford at 21.20, Acton Bridge (additionally) at 21.24, Runcorn at 21.33, Liverpool South Parkway at 21.42, arriving at Liverpool Lime Street at 21.53.
  • The 21.34 Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street train will not run. Euston-Northampton-Birmingham/Crewe - Trains between London Euston and Tring / Milton Keynes Central / Northampton will not run. Rail replacement buses will operate between Stanmore (London Underground station) / Watford Junction and Hemel Hempstead. A special half-hourly train service will run between Hemel Hempstead and Northampton. (passengers should allow 45 minutes for travelling via London Underground between Stanmore and Central London). Trains between Crewe / Birmingham New Street and London Euston will run between Crewe / Birmingham New Street and Northampton only. Train services between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International / Coventry / Northampton will be operating to an amended timetable.

Birmingham-Wolverhampton - Due to planned engineering work the following service alterations will apply :

  • After 22.35 trains between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street will not run.
  • Rail replacement buses will operate to the following timetable.
  • An additional train service will depart from Wolverhampton at 22.50 and arrive at Birmingham New Street at 23.05.

Birmingham-Shrewsbury -  Due to planned engineering work the following alterations to services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street will apply :

  • The 21.47 Shrewsbury to Birmingham New Street train will terminate at Wolverhampton (at 22.38).A rail replacement bus service will operate between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street - departing from Wolverhampton at 22.49, calling at all intermediate stations (including Sandwell & Dudley at 23.26), arriving at Birmingham New Street at 23.51. An additional train service will depart from Wolverhampton at 22.50 and arrive at Birmingham New Street at 23.05.
  • The 23.08 Birmingham New Street to Shrewsbury train will not run. An additional train service will operate between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury - departing from Wolverhampton at 22.55, Telford Central at 23.11, Wellington at 23.18, arriving at Shrewsbury at 23.33.   • The 22.40 Walsall to Birmingham New Street train will not run. Snow Hill lines - Due to planned engineering work services between Birmingham New Street – Worcester / Hereford and between Birmingham Moor Street / Birmingham Snow Hill – Worcester / Great Malvern will operate to a revised timetable. Trains from Birmingham Moor Street / Snow Hill / New Street to Great Malvern / Hereford will run between Birmingham Moor Street / Snow Hill / New Street and Worcester Shrub Hill only. Rail replacement buses will operate between Worcester Shrub Hill and Great Malvern / Hereford. After 08.30 trains from Hereford / Great Malvern to Birmingham New Street / Snow Hill / Moor Street will run between Worcester Shrub Hill and Birmingham New Street / Snow Hill / Moor Street only, with rail replacement buses operating between Hereford / Great Malvern and Worcester Shrub Hill. Trains which terminate at / start from Worcester Foregate Street will be diverted to terminate at / start from Worcester Shrub Hill.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Stanmore (London Underground station) / Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central. A special half-hourly train service will run between Bletchley / Milton Keynes Central and Northampton. (passengers should allow 45 minutes for travelling via London Underground between Stanmore and Central London). Rail replacement buses will operate between Stoke-on-Trent–Stone–Stafford and Stone–Stafford–Rugeley Trent Valley. Buses at Stone travelling to Stafford and Rugeley Trent Valley will drop off and pick up at Granville Square.

Due to planned engineering work the 22.54 Birmingham New Street to Northampton train will not run.
Passengers are advised to travel on alternative services as shown on the timetable here. A rail replacement bus will operate between Rugby and Northampton - departing from Rugby at 23.50, Long Buckby at 00.15, arriving at Northampton at 00.40.

Birmingham-Worcester - Due to the cancellation of planned engineering work the following service alterations will apply :
