London Midland signs up to the Albion Foundation

Supporting communities

We are proud to announce that we have recently joined forces with the Albion Foundation, a local registered charity working in partnership with West Bromwich Albion Football Club. The new partnership includes London Midland as key “Partners of The Albion Foundation, proudly sponsoring the WBA Women & Girls and WBA Basketball teams”.

At London Midland, we continue to make great strides in our work with the communities we serve and our partnership with the Albion Foundation is just another example of us finding new ways to show our support. Richard Brooks, Commercial Director at London Midland explained, “The railway has always been at the heart of communities and London Midland is very proud of all of the support that our colleagues and the company provide to community initiatives. The Albion Foundation dovetails with a number of other organisations that we support, in that much of their work is with young people and promoting healthy lifestyles. However, it is more than just sport and their mantra of “inspire to achieve” is something I believe we can all do for the people that we can support".

The Albion Foundation provides sporting and educational opportunities to the most disadvantaged members of the local community. Using the power of sport, the Albion Foundation makes a measurable, positive difference, raising aspirations, growing and fulfilling potential in local people of all ages, gender, ethnicity and socio-economic backgrounds.

The Albion Foundation focuses on three key areas:

  • Education & Engagement
  • Sport Development
  • Disability Sport
