4 Aleksandra Mir: Space Tapestry

A 40-metre wall hanging by the artist and 25 collaborators aged 18-24. This magnificent piece of work was inspired by the historical Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England, as well as the anonymous artists who depicted Halley's Comet in 1066.

'LUSITANIA' : The Liner 'Lusitania' moored in the Mersey, Christmas 1911. Delivered in 1907, the 'Lusitania' was torpedoed by the German U-20 12 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale, Ireland on 7th May 1915. The loss of life among American passengers is thought to have had a direct influence on the United States' decision to enter the First World War. FREE EVENT

A major exhibition marking 100 years since the sinking of Liverpool's liner, Lusitania. Known as one of the most horrific incidents at sea during the First World War which claimed the lives of 1191 people, this exhibition highlights new research about the people involved in the disaster.

Celebrate the world's LGBT communities at this two-day festival with the theme of international love. This year's Pride marks the 50th anniversary since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales.
