What is happening?
Improvement works are taking place near to London Euston over the August bank holiday weekend. As a result, trains will be unable to run to or from London Euston on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August
Trains will run as far south as Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes respectively on these days. Rail replacement buses will then run to and from Stanmore to connect with London Underground services on the Jubilee line.
See our short info video below for more details:
A reduced train service will run to and from London Euston on Monday 28 August.
Don’t get stopped in your tracks over the August bank holiday:
- Travel either side of the weekend
- Use alternative routes
- Plan ahead & check for the latest updates at nationalrail.co.uk/eustonworks
If it is essential for you to travel, allow more time for your journey and expect services to be busier than usual.
Travelling with other operators
Virgin Trains - trains will run as far south as Rugby or Milton Keynes Central
Southern - trains will run as far north as Shepherds Bush
London Overground - no trains between London Euston and Watford
Other services affected
It is anticipated that all our services running through Birmingham Snow Hill will be busier than usual over the bank holiday as a result of these works.
Chiltern Railways will have very few trains calling at Birmingham Snow Hill over the weekend. If you are connecting onto their services between Birmingham and London Marylebone, you will need to use Birmingham Moor St instead. Also check their calling patterns along the whole of this route as they will have amended calling patterns on both Saturday and Sunday. For more information go to chilternrailways.co.uk
- St Albans Abbey and Watford
- Bedford and Bletchley
will run as normal during these works
