that our officers will start to be much more visible on the network. They are all there to support an enjoyable travelling environment for as many customers as possible.
Below I have explained which areas we are actively supporting and monitoring, and why they are crucial
to making sure your journey is comfortable and safe.

Tracks are for trains
Railway Tracks are for trains. If you can read this you’re not a train. Trespassing is dangerous, please use bridges or underpasses to get to other platforms.
For absolute safety, trespassing on railway tracks for any reason or at any time is strictly prohibited and carries a large number of severe dangers. It's really not worth the risk.
You need to make sure you have a ticket or Smartcard for your journey. If not, you could be liable for a penalty fare.
As per the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, please remember it is your responsibility to make sure you have a valid ticket, key card or permit to travel before starting your journey (where the facilities are available). If a customer isn't able to present a valid ticket for travel when asked to do by myself or one of the team, we will ask questions and it's likely that a penalty fare notice maybe issued or a formal interview under caution takes place.
Keep calm and respect others
Consider those around you during your journey. Anti-social behaviour or abuse towards staff or customers will not be tolerated. Verbal or physical abuse could result in prosecution.
We define anti-social behaviour as any action(s) which may leave others feeling uncomfortable or vulnerable whilst using the network - this applies to both customers and staff. Anti-social behaviour isn't tolerated anywhere on London Midland trains or stations. If someone is shown to be behaving in an unacceptable anti-social manner we will take action that could lead to prosecution.
We would always encourage you to think about how your actions and behaviour can effect others around you.
No feet on seats
Nobody likes dirty or wet seats, please keep your feet on the floor. Please remember, this is an offence under the Railway Byelaws.
We want to keep the train environments as clean and pleasant as possible. Would you want to sit on a dirty or damaged seat? Putting your feet up on the seats degrades the train seats condition for other customers. It can also impact on the comfort of others as not all customers feel confident to ask people take their feet off of seats in order to sit down themselves.
We're all eyes
For your safety, CCTV is in operation on trains and at stations. If you see something suspicious text 61016 to report it.
We use CCTV equipment at stations and on trains primarily to make sure you, your fellow customers and London Midland staff are kept safe throughout their journey or working day.
Help keep our trains tidy - please take your rubbish with you or use bins provided.
We encourage everyone to be mindful of others and always use the bins provided for their litter. Nobody wants to sit among rubbish and if we did spot someone littering we would treat it as a form of anti-social behaviour.
